Maggie Miltcheva CV

Maggie Miltcheva received her M. A. in Russian and English from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in 1994. She joined the College's Russian Studies Program in 2002. She teaches Elementary through Advanced Russian courses as well as Russian Literature in Translation courses and Comparative Literature courses. Among research interests are Russian, East Slavic and Celtic folklore and mythology, 19th century Russian literature (especially the works for Dostoevsky), and contemporary Russian literature. Her book review on "Weaving Tapestry in Rural Ireland" by Meghan Nuttall Sayres was published by the Irish literary supplement in 2007.
